Down with the round!

So, as many of you know four months ago I gave birth to a super smiley, bright and bubbly, baby girl! The hardest part of being pregnant by far was packing on pounds. Due to pre-eclampsia, and lots of bed rest at the end of my pregnancy totally belly bulge count rounded out at exactly 50lbs! (Everyone in unison, YIKES!). I am 40lbs lighter today, but still quite a ways from my goal. I am pretty tired of looking in the mirror and seeing a person I hardly recognize. I have new rolls in places I never carried weight before, and my belly looks like it was attacked by tiger claws in my sleep. "Oh the lovely details of motherhood they leave out of all the sappy movies", next month Memorial Day weekend to be exact my family is having a reunion. I will get to see my grandfather for the first time in 6 years.... WOWZERS! Yup just re-checked my math on my handy dandy fingers and 6 years is the number. In honor of this get together my goal, is to meet or beat my pre-preggo weight!
Above is a photo from a friends baby shower and however unflattering, I want this to be my pre-battle of the bulge photo; its one of those you get tagged in on FB and then you open the photo and gasp and think "will anyone notice if I untag myself?" Granted, not every angle of anyone is flattering, this was the second baby shower I had been to in the same day, and I had just finished doing the Mommy Sleepy Dance in the Ergo baby to get Reagan so sleep.... but 30 days from now, in the same shirt we will do a re-take and you tell me what you think! I am not trying to look like a VS model or anything, but feeling sexy again would help.

As my friends I am going to let you be my accountability partners. I am going to blog honestly about the struggles, the good days and the bad ones. I am not looking for quick fix program, I am getting healthy again, and improving the view of this temple of God. I am sticking to a 1500 calorie diet (as approved by the Dr for a 24 year old breast feeding mother), I plan to walk 2 miles a day, 3 if I can get Reagan so sit in the stroller long enough and with Gods help this goal will be attained.

wish me luck!!!!
